George Washington Birthday Parade
Monday, February 21, 2022
Weather: Dry at start time and 60 degrees!!
This Monday will be a great day to march alongside other ODBC members and their families. The weather by 1pm will be perfect for marching, so let us all support the Club and show your ODBC spirit by wearing your ODBC garb and marching 30 minutes with the rest of us. (ODBC garb not required, but your presence is requested.)
Don't forget to join us for free refreshments in the Ballroom afterwards.
See you there!!!
Monday, February 21st - The Parade starts at 1pm. Our group is one of the very first to march … please arrive no later than 12:45pm on Gibbon Street right by the Safeway parking lot.
The Parade route: We will turn left on South Fairfax and march to Queen Street, where we take another left onto Queen, and then march one block and turn left again onto Royal Street. From that point it is 2 short blocks to the Reviewing Stand at King and Royal.
For members and guests who don’t want to march the entire route (and short-legged children with common sense), a good place to join the Boat Club throng is the corner of Queen and Royal for the last two blocks of the parade. Of course, members can join us at any point along the parade route as we march by.
Shortly after that the marchers can scatter … every ODBC marcher is invited to the Club Ballroom where we will be serving free refreshments to the marchers.
All non-marching club members are invited to the Tap Room.
