George Washington Birthday Parade

Monday, February 19th. will be a wonderful day to march alongside other ODBC members and their families. The parade starts at 1pm so let us all support the Club and show your ODBC spirit by wearing your ODBC garb and marching with fellow members. (ODBC garb not required, but your presence is requested.)
Don’t forget to join us for free refreshments in the Ballroom afterwards.
Monday, February 19th - The Parade starts at 1pm. The City of Alexandria celebrates George’s birthday each year with events throughout February. The highlight will be the parade when Alexandria residents and visitors will line the streets of Old Town Alexandria to cheer on the oldest and largest George Washington Birthday parade in the country. The parade features drum corps, color guards, bands, community and fraternal organizations, youth groups, local merchants, city dignitaries, and, of course, General Washington and Martha Washington.
The Parade route: The parade starts at 1 pm. ODBC members and friends should arrive no later than 12:45 pm on the corner of Gibbon Street and Royal Street. Shortly after the parade ends, ODBC members and their guests are invited to the Club Ballroom where we will be serving free refreshments to the those who marched in the parade. All non-marching club members are invited to the Tap Room.
