George Washington Birthday Parade

Saturday, February 14, 2026

This will be a wonderful day to march alongside other ODBC members and their families. The parade starts at 2 pm. Let us all support the Club and show your ODBC spirit by wearing your ODBC garb and marching with fellow members.

(ODBC garb is not required, but your presence is requested.)

All those ODBC marchers, don't forget to join us for free refreshments in the Ballroom afterwards.

Saturday, February 14th - The Parade starts at 2 pm. The City of Alexandria celebrates George’s birthday each year with events throughout February. The highlight will be the parade when Alexandria residents and visitors line the streets of Old Town Alexandria to cheer on the oldest and largest George Washington Birthday parade in the country. The parade features drum corps, color guards, bands, community and fraternal organizations, youth groups, local merchants, city dignitaries, and, of course, General Washington and Martha Washington.

Parade General Information

An advanced start date for Market Square construction in Alexandria has mandated changes to the traditional George Washington parade route, which normally passes by City Hall and Market Square Plaza. The parade will still march in Old Town Alexandria, following a route up St. Asaph Street and returning down Pitt Street. You can view the new parade route here."
